In the wake of an absolutely explosive Ypres Rally, the 2026 Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup is already entering the second half of its season this coming Saturday, July 11. The series now heads to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the superb stages of the Rallye L\u00ebtzebuerg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seven crews will be on the starting line for the fourth round of the season, which says a lot about the intensity of the event contested in West Flanders. Among the absentees is Rally4 championship leader Lander Depotter, who has not yet recovered from his crash in Ypres while competing in a Rally2 car. For other competitors, including L\u00e9ny Cols, the damage sustained in West Flanders simply prevents them from lining up in Luxembourg. However, it is only a temporary setback.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Currently second in the provisional Rally4 standings, 20 points behind Depotter, Corentin Fiasse (Peugeot 208) has everything to gain in the Grand Duchy. Should he score maximum points this Saturday, Fiasse would establish himself as the main challenger to the current leader in the title fight ahead of the East Belgian Rally and the Spa Rally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To try and stop him, Cl\u00e9ment Willaert (Opel Corsa) and Steven Spittaels (Peugeot 208) will be aiming to close the gap to the leading quartet of Depotter, Fiasse, Dhaene and Merlevede. This means that the Rallye L\u00ebtzebuerg could significantly tighten the standings ahead of the final two rounds of the season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As for Sergio Plattes (Peugeot 208), he will be eager to build on the momentum gained at the Ardenne Rally Festival and confirm the tremendous progress he has made since making his debut only a few months ago.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In Rally6, Ypres allowed Nolann Lejeune (Opel Corsa) to open up a ten-point advantage over Emilien Allart (Opel Corsa), who endured a frustrating weekend in West Flanders. The battle between the two winners of the RACB National Team’s Rally Battle will therefore continue on Luxembourg’s roads. Meanwhile, Jean Beaupain (Lancia Ypsilon) will be looking to use this summer event to move into the provisional top three in the standings. It certainly promises to be an exciting contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Twelve special stages are on the schedule for the 2026 Rallye L\u00ebtzebuerg this Saturday. The crews will cross the start podium from 8:00 a.m. onwards before tackling four different stages three times each, with lengths ranging from 7 to 14 kilometres.
