Met een twaalfde plaats algemeen voor de Peugeot 208 Rally4 van Marijan Griebel en Tobias Braun mag men ieder geval stellen dat er uitstekend gepresteerd werd\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Met niet minder dan 13 duo\u2019s aan de start, elk met een&nbsp;Peugeot 208 Rally4 of Opel Corsa Rally4, gaat het de Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup Belux duidelijk voor de wind! Kwaliteit en kwantiteit zijn even sterk vertegenwoordigd, met de terugkeer van de Duitser Marijan Griebel en de Oostenrijker Julian Wagner. Beide rijders nemen het maar wat graag opnieuw op tegen hun Belgische en Luxemburgse tegenstanders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Al in de eerste klassementsproeven werd de toon gezet: Marijan Griebel nam met zijn Peugeot 208 Rally4 de leiding in handen en zou die positie nadien niet meer afstaan. De Duitser kwam terug, zag en overwon!&nbsp;<em>\u201cIk ben opnieuw van de partij om te tonen dat ik op de proeven wel degelijk de snelste ben\u201d,&nbsp;<\/em>stelde Griebel aan de finish.&nbsp;<em>\u201cIk hou wel van dit type parcours en kon mijn zege van vorig jaar herhalen. Maar daar heb ik wel wat moeite moeten voor doen!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Julian Wagner (Peugeot) kon het Griebel aan de oevers van de Semois inderdaad knap lastig maken.&nbsp;<em>\u201cVorig jaar reed ik hier niet, en dat gebrek aan ervaring heeft er voor gezorgd dat ik niet kon winnen\u201d,&nbsp;<\/em>stelt de jonge Oostenrijker met de glimlach.&nbsp;<em>\u201cMaar in de Sezoensrally, de volgende manche van de&nbsp;Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup, wordt het een ander verhaal, dat kan ik jullie wel beloven. Vorig jaar wist ik daar trouwens te winnen\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fred Caprasse (Peugeot) werd eind 2022 tot kampioen gekroond en wist in Vresse zijn eerste podium van het seizoen te behalen.&nbsp;<em>\u201cDoor de komst van Marijan en Julian ligt de lat uiteraard heel hoog\u201d,&nbsp;<\/em>analyseert de rijder uit Tenneville.&nbsp;<em>\u201cVandaag moest ik minder dan een seconde per kilometer toegeven, wat betekent dat ik zal moeten blijven werken en blijven aanvallen. Maar het was een mooie strijd\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In het spoor van de zeer internationale top 3 loste de jonge Tom Heindrichs (Opel) alle verwachtingen in. Na de eerste lus stond hij al vierde en ook in de eindstand legde hij beslag op die positie. Hij moest amper een twintigtal seconden toegeven op Fred Caprasse en wist tegelijk het Junior BRC te winnen! Het beste bewijs dat Heindrichs snel en goed progressie boekt. Allicht een kwestie van genen\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Na de eerste lus vervolledigde Harry Bouillon (Opel) de top 5, maar uiteindelijk ging die plaats naar Luxemburger Hugo Arellano (Peugeot), met amper een dertigtal seconden voorsprong op de Luikenaar. Ook in het achtervolgende peloton zijn de plaatsen dus duur en de verschillen miniem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bij zijn eerste wedstrijd in dit kampioenschap deed David Drieskens (Peugeot) uitstekende beroep op zijn ervaring in de rallysport om uiteindelijk beslag te leggen op de zevende plaats, voor een steeds meer aan vertrouwen winnende Maxim Decock (Opel). Ook andere rookies, Corentin Fiasse (Peugeot) en Jean-Yves Lejeune (Peugeot), hebben op korte tijd heel wat geleerd, en bleven voor de Ier Niall O\u2019Sullivan (Opel) en de pechvolle S\u00e9bastien Bedoret (Opel), wiens resultaat niet de juiste weergave is van zijn alom erkend potentieel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aan het eind ontbrak enkel de jonge Benjamin Bosseloir (Peugeot) op het finishpodium, nadat hij in de eerste proef naast de weg was beland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>U hebt het begrepen, de bolides van de Stellantis-groep hebben in de South Belgian Rally meer dan hun deel van het spektakel verzorgd. De unieke proeven van de Sezoensrally vormen de tweede manche van de Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup Belux 2023.
