In de nieuwe STELLANTIS Motorsport Rally Cup Belux <\/strong>zullen de Peugeot 208 Rally4 <\/strong>en Opel Corsa Rally4<\/strong> in vijf manches om de hoogste eer strijden: vier wedstrijden van het Kroon Oil BRC, plus de Rally van Luxemburg. Deze \u2018Cup\u2019 is in rallymiddens ondertussen een \u2018hot topic\u2019 geworden, zoveel te beter! Promotor Pole Position haalt dan ook alles uit de kast, om zo de rijders de gelegenheid te geven om maximaal van deze nieuwe promotiecup te kunnen genieten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wim Verloy (In de Belux Communications Manager Motorsport voor de merken Peugeot, Citro\u00ebn, DS\u00a0en Opel) legt ondertussen de naamsverandering van de cup uit: \u201cOp 16 januari was er de fusie tussen de twee automobielgroepen PSA en FCA, waaruit Stellantis werd gecre\u00eberd. Opel en Peugeot maken beiden deel uit van de groep.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Het prijzengeld, in cash en bij elke rally te verdelen, is ontegensprekelijk het sterke punt van de STELLANTIS Motorsport Rally Cup Belux. Nogal wat rijders kunnen zo hun budget vervolledigen. Oordeel zelf maar:

Davie Meert, co\u00f6rdinator<\/strong>

Davie Meert wordt de co\u00f6rdinator van de STELLANTIS Motorsport Rally Cup Belux. Tussen 1978 en 2007 ging hij aan de slag als corijder, van onder andere Bernard Munster, Timothy Van Parijs, Dominique Bruyneel, Joost Boxoen, Chris Van Woensel, Mathias Viaene of nog David Loix. Meert stak meer dan eens de nationale rallytitel bij de corijders op zak, en wist dan ook heel wat nationale en regionale rally\u2019s op zijn naam te schrijven.

Tot 2019 was Davie Meert de co\u00f6rdinator van de Fiesta Sport Trophy, wat betekent dat hij het reilen en zeilen in een promotiecup helemaal onder de knie heeft.
