Enkele lange weken na de Rallye L\u00ebtzebuerg staat met de East Belgian Rally de voorlaatste afspraak van het seizoen op het programma. In Sankt Vith gaat de strijd om de titels in de categorie\u00ebn Rally4 en Rally6 verder en zal die wellicht nog meer vorm krijgen\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dankzij de afwezigheid van Lander Depotter (Opel Corsa Rally4) op de klassementsproeven in het Groothertogdom Luxemburg, heeft Corentin Fiasse (Peugeot 208 Rally4) de leiding in het voorlopige klassement overgenomen. Zijn voorsprong bedraagt inmiddels 10 punten\u2026 maar hij heeft wel \u00e9\u00e9n resultaat meer op zijn conto dan de jonge Nederlandstalige. Goed nieuws: beide titelkandidaten zullen in het oosten van het land aan de start verschijnen, waardoor hun duel kan worden voortgezet op een natuurlijk parcours dat traditioneel door alle rijders wordt gewaardeerd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Als er \u00e9\u00e9n jonge wolf is die tijdens de East Belgian Rally wil schitteren, dan is het Sergio Plattes (Peugeot 208 Rally4)! De inwoner van Sankt Vith rijdt immers een thuiswedstrijd, op klassementsproeven die hij uiteraard bijzonder goed kent. Sinds het begin van het seizoen maakt hij indrukwekkende progressie, wat nog maar eens werd bevestigd door zijn tijden tijdens de Rallye L\u00ebtzebuerg. Depotter en Fiasse zullen de lokale held dus goed in de gaten moeten houden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De huidige nummer vier in het voorlopige klassement, Steven Spittaels (Peugeot 208 Rally4), zal eveneens aan de start verschijnen. Hetzelfde geldt voor Manuel Merlevede (Opel Corsa Rally4), momenteel zesde in de tussenstand, en voor Corentin Dozot (Peugeot 208 Rally4) en L\u00e9ny Cols (Lancia Ypsilon HF Rally4). Die laatste twee zijn vastbesloten om eindelijk hun puntenrekening te openen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In de Rally6-categorie gaat het duel tussen de twee jonge talenten van het RACB National Team, Nolann Lejeune en Emilien Allart, eveneens verder. De gele Opel Corsa Rally6&#8217;s zullen opnieuw de aandacht trekken. Hoewel Lejeune momenteel de leiding heeft met 102 punten, tegenover 90 voor Allart, heeft die laatste wel \u00e9\u00e9n resultaat minder. Daarbij moet worden benadrukt dat de twee jongeren ook strijden om de titel in het Junior BRC!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Benoit Wauthier (Peugeot 208 Rally6) zal eveneens opnieuw van de partij zijn. Hij mikt erop zijn huidige zesde plaats in het voorlopige klassement te verbeteren en dichter bij de top vier te komen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Er staat de deelnemers van de Stellantis Motorsport Rally Cup dus opnieuw heel wat op het spel.
